MIAMI VIBES | home
This is the story of Dutch DJ named Sander, who decides he wants to become an international DJ. In order to achieve his dream he decides to travel to Miami! When he reached Miami he discovered that it was a whole new world with a different culture, varying forms of communicating and unfamiliar ways of working. We decided to follow Sander on his journey and document hurdles he crossed. We would like you to join us on his adventure. It promises to be a good one.  Sander, best known as DJ Chuky is born on 13-05-1990. At the age of 5 he moved from a very little town in the northern part of Holland (Warns) to Amsterdam. That is where he began to see all the possibilities and opportunities for him in the business. Sander bought his first turntable after he finished high school. He played at small parties in community centers and schools. Soon he was invited by other DJ's to join them on their shows in the more famous clubs in Amsterdam. That was the start of his career as well recognized DJ in the Netherlands. 2 years ago he became house DJ at one of the best clubs in Holland, The Escape.The activities and reputation of DJ Chuky have drawn the attention of Matthijs a.k.a. Smooth M, he is the club owner of Insomnia in Miami, FL. Insomnia is one of the biggest and well known clubs in Miami with a large scale of different styles. That is one of the main reasons club Insomnia is so popular. DJ Chuky has a new tune called "Rock'a delick Funky music style Remix Tape. part 2" which is a number 1 clubbing hit in the States. Because this is his 5th number 1 hit in a row DJ Chuky's popularity is sky high and to compete with the other clubs Smooth M needs Sander to satisfy his customers and keep a huge advantage. Sander will get a more than substantial wage, however he has to work 5 nights a week.Hopefully he is up for the task. Hey guys....We do have a little bit information about the two spots but I think it's a bit "petit". So I guess we need more info on that, especially in a more course-oriented way! (masculinity, low/high context/(in)direct, uncertainty avoidance etc!) Maybe one of you is in for that? And I made start on the story. The things he did in Holland and his trip are now in the story. Maybe you guys can add things to those two "Chapters" but preferably add chapters!
